A group of seven intrepid leaders from Lewisham braved snow, rain and gale force winds to do some mountain leadership training over the last weekend of November. The group covered a variety of skills ranging from micro navigation, emergency rope work to route planning and group leadership. This is part of a journey to enabling more Leaders within Lewisham District to gain the necessary permits to offer hill and mountain adventures to Lewisham Scouts of all ages. Everyone learnt something new and made new friends – there were smiles all round despite the poor weather!
