MIST is a group of Lewisham volunteers who walk and climb, and who would like to see more Scouts out on the hills and on real rock. We are people who love the opportunity to get outdoors and are glad of more company. The team keeps in touch through a WhatsApp group.

Permits
Five volunteers across Lewisham Groups hold Terrain 1 hillwalking permits and three hold Southern Sandstone natural rock permits. We have access to group climbing equipment.
Assessment requires a logbook built over several seasons. Training and assessment routes:
- Scout Adventures Yr Hafod — Terrain 1 and 2 permits, Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor. Courses.
- PEAK ASU — joint GLSW and Surrey unit, skills weekends in Snowdonia with assessment. GLSW · Surrey.
- GLMW Hill Walking — regular weekends away for volunteers to build experience and work towards permits.
