We have hired the Yr Hafod Mountain Lodge in Snowdonia for the weekend of 21st-23rd March 2025 for a Leaders Hillwalking Experience building trip. This is aimed at Adult Leaders and Volunteers within Lewisham and South London Scouts who have some level of training or experience with Hillwalking in T1 / T2 terrain and are looking to build up their log book experience in groups with similar level peers. This weekend is unfortunately not offered as a beginners / taster weekend or permit training / assessment weekend at this stage but we hope for future weekends to be suitable for all experience levels and requirements.

Date: 21st-23rd March 2025

Cost: £50 weekend cost without minibus seat. £75 weekend cost including minibus seat.

Open to: Adults (18 and over) with an active role in Scouting (Lewisham & South London Scouts).

Accommodation: Yr Hafod Scout Hostel (link to their site)

Catering: We will be catering centrally for Saturday (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and Sunday (Breakfast and Lunch). Friday Dinner is not provided so please bring with you or en route. Please share with the organisers any specific food allergies or dietary requirements so we can customise the menu to suit all.

Transport: Car sharing is the standard option but you can also choose to arrange an alternative mode of transport for yourself. We can try and put participants in touch to arrange car sharing or other joint transport options. We have one minibus travelling up on the Friday afternoon and can offer a limited number of minibus seats leaving Lewisham 1pm on the Friday and returning Sunday evening (£25 contribution towards fuel and hire).
