Scouting happens when adults work together as a team

We are passionate about providing the friendship and excitement of scouting to our members and we want as many young people in our area to have the opportunity to join our adventure as possible. To do this we need adults to volunteer a small amount of their spare time.

Scouting simply would not exist without the enthusiasm of our adult helpers. With this in mind, we encourage you and your family members (over 18), to lend a hand. We know that life can be busy, so we’re all about flexibility; You can give as much of your time as you choose. We want you to experience the fun and adventure that scouting offers young people, at the same time as helping our scout groups thrive. Being part of scouting is great fun and it goes without saying that helping young people can be one of the most rewarding things you can do.

Whether you can spare an hour a week, a month or a term, it’s far easier to provide exciting activities at our meetings if we have your support. You may think that you have nothing to offer but you’d be surprised!

We fully understand that you may not be able to help on a regular basis which is why we operate a rota. Our rota means you can make a difference and help without having to do so every week, if lots of people are on the rota then your commitment may only be once or twice a term.
