We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for life. This only happens because of great adventures and great volunteers, like you.

Role description

Calling all tea makers, tidy-uppers, activity planners, and helpers for as little or as much time as you can spare! We are looking for volunteers to support our Cub groups. No experience in Scouting is required and we have flexible roles to suit everyone.

Beavers are young people aged 8 to 10yrs who:

  • Master new skills and try new things
  • Have fun and go on adventures
  • Make friends
  • Are curious about the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, on their own doorsteps and beyond

Every week, they gather in groups called Cub Packs to take part in lots of interesting and challenging activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.

Being a Cub is all about growing and learning in small but mighty ways. Here are some of the things you’ll get up to with your new friends.

What we provide:

  • A Full Scout DBS
  • Safety Training
  • Safeguarding Training
  • First Response Training
  • New Skills for your CV
  • New Adventures

COVID-19 considerations:

We are following a framework set by the Government, the National Youth Agency, and Scouts UK. We maintain social distancing and face coverings are worn during indoor activities. Full Covid-19 risk assessments have been undertaken.
