District Commissioner Search

20 November 2018

A real string to your bow!

The phrase “value added” is something we all look for in everyday life, something for not a lot extra. In Scouting we are great at achieving big things from next to nothing. A Scout District which has a lot happening and people pulling together often achieves a lot. Setting the tone and scope of how this is done is down to the District Commissioner. The District Commissioner creates a team which empowers people to do and make things happen. Look at the last big District event – what made it the success it was? Yes… lots of people doing many small things which contributed to a huge sense of pride.

The search is now on for a new District Commissioner for Lewisham District, and we are looking for individuals who love motivating others to achieve great things. Do you know someone who excels in doing this?

Please get your thinking cap on and encourage others to think like-wise. We know that Lewisham District has many extraordinary people doing some great things. We want to make sure that the future is bright for the District, by finding the right individual(s) to take on this important role.

Further details about the role can be downloaded from the county web site at

The nominations for the vacancy close at 5pm on Friday 21st December 2018, and we welcome nominations and applications from as many different people as possible.
